Hilton Homewood Suites - Dover, NJ Design/Build 86,586 sq ft, 4 Story, 108 Guestroom Hilton hotel. Scheduled to open in Fall 2008.The hotel is being constructed on parcel of land which operated as a municipal landfill for 40 years, until the early 1970's. Because the hotel is being built on a landfill the construction is much more complex than a typical design/build hotel. The contruction requires the use of micropiles, reinforced heavy concrete, pile caps and grade beams. A gas collection system under the slabis being installed as well, this will be used to collect any gases that may be produced from the ground.
