The Briad Group is rapidly expanding to meet your needs. With franchise locations across the entire United States, we currently rank 5th on the Restaurant Finance Monitor’s list of top 200 restaurant franchise operators. In fact, Briad is the largest T.G.I. Friday’s franchise restaurant operator in the country. Even Franchise Times placed Briad in the top 10 of its top 200 list of franchise operators in 2008, when our revenue totaled more than $340 million. It’s a success worth both a toast and the boast.
Briad, a company that began with a single ice cream parlor in New Jersey, now owns and operates 42 Wendy’s® Old Fashioned Hamburger restaurants, 70 T.G.I. Friday’s® restaurants, and is currently developing Marriott® and Hilton® hotels. Just last month, the company returned to its origins when it decided to open Cups Frozen Yogurt. Where else? In New Jersey. Despite the economy, we’re growing as fast as demand will allow. The latest restaurant concepts to join our portfolio are Zinburger, serving gourmet burgers, salads, decadent shakes, and sides with a full bar; and Corner Bakery, a cafe that specializes in pastries, breads, breakfast, gourmet sandwiches and dinner.

Through Briad University, where our management students learn the latest industry techniques and best management practices available, we provide a unique opportunity for employees to learn three different segments of the industry: quick-service, casual-dining and hotel operation. Employees can join the team as hourly employees and move up to manage multiple restaurants or oversee the growth of the hotel group. In 2005, Briad opened five Marriott® and Hilton® hotels. We opened another in 2006, and three during the first half of 2007. Yet another opened in the second half of 2008 and two more in 2009. In December of 2010, we were delighted to sell our hotel portfolio. But it didn't take long to start new projects. Just 3 weeks later, we broke ground on two new development projects. We continue to scout for new locations in order to keep growing. We think we do rooms well. Obviously, Marriott® and Hilton® think so, too.
